Dialing Instructions
Long Distance Calls
To place a business-related long distance call:
- From an AT&T Centrex (Standard Dial Tone) line
- Dial 9 + 1 + the area code + the seven-digit telephone number.
- From a business line/Non-Standard Dial Tone line
- Dial 1 + the area code + the seven-digit telephone number.
- From a PBX or Hosted VoIP Service
- PBX and HVS users should check with their local PBX or HVS administrator for dialing instructions.
Calls to a Toll Free Number
To place a call to a toll free (800/888/877/866/855) number:
- From an AT&T Centrex line
- Dial 9 + the toll free number
- From a NSDT line
- Dial 1 + the toll free number
- From a PBX or HVS
- PBX and HVS users should check with their local PBX or HVS administrator for dialing instructions.
International Calls
To place a business-related international call:
- From an unrestricted AT&T Centrex line
- Dial 9 for an outside line then dial 0 + 11, the country code, city code and the local number.
- From an unrestricted NSDT line or trunk
- Dial 0 + 11, the country code, city code, and the local number.
- From a PBX or HVS
- Obtain an outside line then dial 0 + 11, the country code, city code and the local number.
- PBX and HVS users should contact their system administrators for feature and dialing instructions.
Local Dialing
To place a local call:
- From an AT&T Centrex line:
- From a NSDT line in the 225, 318 or 985 area code:
- Dial the seven-digit telephone number
- From a NSDT line in the 337 or 504 area code:
- Dial the area code + the seven-digit telephone number
- From a PBX or HVS
- PBX and HVS users should check with their local PBX or HVS administrator for dialing instructions.
