Office of aircraft services

State law creates an aviation unit in the Division of Administration. The unit—the Office of Aircraft Services—is responsible for maintaining and repairing aircraft owned or operated by state agencies within the executive branch of government. The work is done through state operated aircraft maintenance facilities unless an agency seeks prior approval for maintenance at privately owned facilities. The aviation unit also does some aircraft maintenance and repair work for some local government entities.
